SO NOT COOL!!!

So last night our computer finally kicked the bucket. After much deliberating, we came to the conclusion that we had to replace it (so now we will be robbing Peter to pay Paul...but that's life!). Mostly because Courtney has so much homework that she has to type up...bottom line is I do not have access to 3 months worth of pictures right now. Best buy is doing a system backup and hopefully I will be able to get my pictures back. For now I am in mourning until I know for certain that they will be able to pull this off...if not I have lost every picture I have taken since Halloween!

Wish me luck...and if you see me on the streets in the next few days....just keep walking, it's for your own safety. Not sure whether to laugh or cry right now!

Rock stars

When Grammy came down from Jersey to visit for my birthday, she brought all the kids a few little things she picked up at her churches Rummage Sale. Both Jilly and Cooper got Hannah Montanan guitars. They love to rock out with their "Hannah On-tanna tars"!

Funny Girl

Cooper is an absolute trip!! Girlfriend knows when she is to get in trouble...and her little face lights up! She knows she's not supposed to climb the steps, but she is obsessed with shoes. Jilly keeps all of her shoes on the steps, and Cooper (who has also become known as Swiper) loves to get Jilly's shoes and put them on and walk around the house. But I just love the sly smile. Girl is going to be trouble when she gets older!

Blizzard

These pictures were taken in a span of 24 hours, from noon on Saturday til noon on Sunday. As of 3 PM on Saturday, the schools were closed, so we knew it was going to be a good time!

Snow Days

I could not keep the girls in the house once they saw the snow start to accumulate. They all stayed out too long, got way too cold, but had the BEST time! There were many a tear shed when they had to come in and warm up and eat lunch. But they managed to get out as much as possible.

There were many snow angels in the front yard, along with a (very sad looking) snowman!

Jilly had trouble walking, so in swooped Courtney to the rescue. Bug became a human snow plow, and made paths for Jilly and Cooper.

Cooper loves the snow...she loves to EAT the snow. As long as she had snow to eat, she was content.

You want me to do WHAT?!? I can't even move, this snow is up to my hips!!!

Following the leader, the leader, the leader...following the leader, where ever he may go.

Is Jilly in there somewhere?

Family fun in the snow...who could ask for anything more?

Too cute for words!

Reindeer caught in the headlights

Courtney's Winter chorus concert. They were all encouraged to wear either a Santa hat or antlers. I happened to catch Bug with a "deer in the headlights" look...but she's a reindeer!

The concert was a lot of fun, all the kids sang beautifully, my kids were well behaved (I think that might have been my Christmas miracle!) and did not make too big a fuss.

Courtney needs to take some lessons from Jilly on how to relax for a performance! She looks scared to death, yet still wants to do chorus (it's an elective) every year.

Reviving an old family tradition

After laying all my ornaments out on the floor and grouping them together (cardinals, Wizard of Oz, baseball, princesses) I had the girls come in and help me decorate the tree. And not until this year did I ever understand why Santa would decorate our tree when he stopped in on Christmas Eve. All I heard was "I wanted to hang that one....MINE!!!) I think Santa might be decorating our tree for the next few years!

First snow of winter 2009

Here's Cooper, not sure what to make of being dressed up like the "stay puffed marshmallow man"!

Jilly and Cooper playing in the whopping 2 inches of snow. We drove across town to my parents house (they have a great hill right across the street) and took the girls sledding. Wyatt stayed in the house with Gra-ma and Pop-pop.

Who needs a sled dog when you have a Daddy?

Poor Courtney! She was nice enough to let the little girls play with her sled, so she had nothing. She tried a cardboard box...no luck. Then she tried the wax coated bag from a bag of dog food...again no luck. Note to self: find the saucer sleds we had as kids, light weight and very speedy! So they all took turns (hardest on Cooper who is yet to understand the concept) and fun was had by all!

yet more vocab

There is only one new one, the other two are older, but I had not included them. (Mostly because I forgot...it's not like I'm a busy person or anything ;0)

(new) candy cane comes out with a hard i it sounds like "candy kine"

disk-a-peered = disappeared

Wretch-skins = Redskins...funny story here. We were driving through town and I hear from the back seat "Look Mommy, Daddy's wretch-skins!" Jilly had seen a sticker in the back window of the SUV in front of us. Now here's why this is so funny...you need to say this out loud a few times...yes I thought that Jilly was talking about erections. So I must have asked her a good dozen times at least what she was trying to say, until she finally said "Daddy's football...Wretch-skins." There's nothing like a little blue humor with your 3 and a half year old!
